The National Academy of Sciences of Armenia in cooperation with the EaP PLUS project organised an info day on open calls under SPIRE "Sustainable Process Industry Through Resource and Energy Efficiency". It took place on Novembe 20, 2017, in Yerevan.

SPIRE is a specific thematic area in the new Work Programme 2018-2020 of Horizon 2020 and is part of the programme "Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials, Biotechnology and Advanced Manufacturing and Processing" under the "Industrial Leadership" pillar.

Applicants to SPIRE are encouraged to cooperate with "partners from the EaP countries" in particular, which makes it an attractive opportunity for EU-EaP partnerships. Reade more on SPIRE on our website.

The event was attended by representatives of the Armenian Scientific community, SMEs, multipliers and other interested stakeholders. The first three open calls under SPIRE were presented in detail. You can find them via the links below:

The participants were urged to be proactive in regard of these calls by taking the initiative and making use of   their existing connections with researchers in EU. For achieving a substantial participation of Armenian teams in these calls, all the possible support sources, tools and events were presented to the participants, such as the SPIRE Association's website and tools and the support they can get from EaP PLUS project in terms of dedicated webinars and travel grants.

The SPIRE calls raised great interest among the participants and some expressed willingness to apply for EaP PLUS travel grant with the aim to build a proper consortium and submit project proposals under SPIRE calls.
