In the new work programme 2018-2020 of Horizon 2020, there is a unique opportunity for researchers from EaP countries to participate in consortia with EU partners to prepare proposals in the "Industrial Leadership" pillar - Work Programme Part 5.ii "Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials, Biotechnology and Advanced Manufacturing and Processing" - SPIRE.

For applications in SPIRE, it is particularly "recommended to cooperate with the Eastern Partnership countries." Please see the respective news on our website for more information: https://www.eap-plus.eu/object/news/119

In order to disseminate the open calls under SPIRE as wide as possible, EaP PLUS is currently organising several information days. On November 23, a webinar for presenting SPIRE was organised as well.

The first three SPIRE calls have a deadline already on February 22, 2018, including:

• CE-SPIRE-02-2018: Processing of material feedstock using non-conventional energy sources (IA) - link

• CE-SPIRE-03-2018: Energy and resource flexibility in highly energy intensive industries (IA 50%) - link

• CE-SPIRE-10-2018: Efficient recycling processes for plastic containing materials (IA) - link

The EaP PLUS webinar was hosted by Jaroslaw Piekarski (NCP in Poland), who presented the programme, already funded projects from previous years and the upcoming open calls.
