Info Days & NCPs

Raising awareness on Horizon 2020 among researchers and research institutions in the EaP countries and stimulating participation in it by presenting the opportunities and good practices from EaP participation is one of the major tasks of the EaP PLUS project. Also, the National Contact Points (NCPs) of the EaP Countries are of critical importance when it comes to the diffusion of information about H2020 and therefore, EaP PLUS developed specific activities tailored to the NCPs' needs.


Following you can find a description of our activities as well as selected entries (events, documents, news etc.) related to these activities.

  • Task 2.1. Organisation of H2020 Info Days and of a local NCPs training
     
  • Within the Activity 2.1a, the EaP PLUS project in cooperation with the EaP NCP structures organized Information Days in all the Eastern Partnership countries.

In Ukraine, EaP PLUS organised H2020 Info Day at the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”. The info day took place on April 7, 2017 and focused on energy and environment topics in H2020 calls for 2017 and for the upcoming period of 2018-2020:

In Moldova, the Center of International Projects of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova and the Moldovan National Contact Points Network with the support of EaP PLUS Project organized an information day dedicated to the Horizon 2020 Work Programme 2018-2020 in European Research Area instruments on November 17, 2017:

In Armenia, the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia in cooperation with the EaP PLUS project organised an info day on open calls under SPIRE "Sustainable Process Industry Through Resource and Energy Efficiency". It took place on November 20, 2017, in Yerevan:

In Georgia, the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia with support of EaP PLUS Project organized the Information Day regarding EU Framework programme for research and Innovation Horizon 2020. The event was held on November 21, 2017 in Tbilisi:

In Moldova, the Center of International Projects (CIP) of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (project partner) and EaP PLUS provided support to the Moldova Eco Energetica event and participated in the exhibition promoting H2020 programme including on-going projects. Moldova Eco Energetica event took place on December 6-8, 2017 at the International Exhibition Center "MOLDEXPO". The event was dedicated to the topic of "renewable energy and energy efficiency in the Republic of Moldova":

In Belarus, a cycle of information and training events dedicated to the launch of the H2020 Work Programme for 2018-2020 was held in Minsk between 20 and 26 February 2018 within the frame of HORIZON 2020 Week – 2018 organised with the support of EaP PLUS and its partners BelISA, SPI and IPPT-PAN together with the BY NCP network:

  • Activity 2.1b is devoted to the training of the NCP network in each of the EaP countries. Training sessions cover both horizontal (e.g. financial and administrative; infrastructure; etc.) and thematic aspects.

In Armenia, the one-day intensive training was delivered by two invited EU experts and covered financial and legal aspects, proposal development skills, H2020 Programme promotion and engagement, and much more. It was organised in the framework of the EaP PLUS Project with the support of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia on May 29, 2018.

In Belarus, training of the Belarusian NCPs for HORIZON 2020 was held in Minsk organised by BelISA on 22 February 2018 with the assistance from SPI (Portugal) and the NCP Academy as part of the HORIZON 2020 Week – 2018.

In Georgia, on September 28, 2018, the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia, hosted a training for the Horizon 2020 National Contact Points. The event was organised in the frame of EaP Plus and as part of the "Science and Innovation Festival 2018”.
